The Love Game (The Game, #1)

I feel like I'm thirteen again and trying to trick my lifetime crush into admitting he's crushing on me too."                                                The Love Game (The Game #1), Emma Hart. Kindle 7%.

That's my teaser, this week I hope you like it:)

Most Anticipated (29)

Sweet Peril (The Sweet Trilogy, #2)

My Most Release of the Week is...Sweet Peril. I can't even tell you how much I have been wanting to read this book. When I first finished Sweet Evil I started freaking out because there was no release date for book two and I didn't know how long I was going to have to wait. Well now, my agony is almost over!! I can't wait to get swept back into the Sweet world that Wendy Higgins has created. Any book with Kaidan in it is one that I will be reading. I love not only the characters that I became invested in with just one book. But also the originality of the world from the Dukes and their sins to the demon whispers. I am going to be locked away as soon as I get my hands on Sweet Peril.

Summary:
Anna Whitt, the daughter of a guardian angel and a demon, promised herself she’d never do the work of her father—polluting souls. She’d been naive to make such a vow. She’d been naive about a lot of things.

Haunted by demon whisperers, Anna does whatever she can to survive, even if it means embracing her dark side and earning an unwanted reputation as her school’s party girl. Her life has never looked more bleak. And all the while there’s Kaidan Rowe, son of the Duke of Lust, plaguing her heart and mind.

When an unexpected lost message from the angels surfaces, Anna finds herself traveling the globe with Kopano, son of Wrath, in an attempt to gain support of fellow Nephilim and give them hope for the first time. It soon becomes clear that whatever freedoms Anna and the rest of the Neph are hoping to win will not be gained without a fight. Until then, Anna and Kaidan must put aside the issues between them, overcome the steamiest of temptations yet, and face the ultimate question: is loving someone worth risking their life?

Sweet Peril (The Sweet Trilogy #2), Wendy Higgins. Expected Publication: April 30, 2013. Paperback, 374 pgs
Honorable Mention:
The Eternity Cure (Blood of Eden #2), Julie Kagawa. Expected Publication: April 30, 2013. Hardcover, 446 pgs.

My teaser is from the book I am currently reading, The Other Fish and the Sea. I am loving it. It's funny and at times down right hilarious yet at the same time it's full of complicated issues.

The Other Fish in the Sea (Grab Your Pole, #2)

'“You can never have too much cowbell.” How can you fear the reaper when Will Ferrell and Christopher Walken have your back and an attractive, interesting and very smart boy holding your hand and giving you nifty little goose bumps?'
The Other Fish and the Sea(Garb Your Pole #2), Jenn Cooksey, Kindle  23%
Every time I hear Don't Fear the Reaper I have the SNL skit with Will Ferrell and Christopher Walken playing in my head. So of course I had use this as my teaser.

My latest read is Serial Summer. It's a pretty easy read and not too long, so I finished it rather quickly.

Serial Summer

"Nineteen. That’s my age. It’s also the number of days since I dropped creative writing, which un-coincidentally (is that a word?) happened to be the day my boyfriend and I broke up. Or blew up. Regardless, in those nineteen days, I’ve left everything behind and followed my mother halfway across the southern states trying to forget that everything about my future is up in the air."                           Serial Summer, Angel Lawson. Dead Silence (The Body Finder, #4)

This week my Most Anticipated Release of the Week is: Dead Silence. Though I haven't read this series yet I have been dying to get my hands on it. I have the first book so I should be able to get started on this series as soon as I find some time. I love that this series is complete so I can get all of the books at once and read them as quickly as I want.

Summary:

Violet thought she’d made peace with her unique ability to sense the echoes of the dead and the imprints that cling to their killers…that is until she acquired an imprint of her own. Forced to carry a reminder of the horrible events of her kidnapping, Violet is more determined than ever to lead a normal life. However, the people who run the special investigative team Violet works for have no intention of letting her go.

When someone close to Violet becomes a suspect in a horrific murder, she finds herself pulled into a deadly hunt for a madman with an army of devoted followers. Violet has survived dangerous situations before, but she quickly discovers that protecting those closest to her is far more difficult than protecting herself. (Goodreads)

Existence (Existence Trilogy, #1)
"A movement, out of the corner of my eye, caused the hairs on my arms to prickle. I’d known better than to stay in this empty room. But I was here now and running would make it worse."                                                          Existence, Abbi Glines. Kindle Edition 3%.

Most Anticipated (26)

Apollyon (Covenant, #4)

My Most Anticipated Release of the Week is: Apollyon (Covenant #4). I'm a huge fan of this series. I love the mythology and how the series has evolved from the first book, Half-blood. After reading Elixir (which is told from Aiden's POV) I wanted to find out what happened next, NO I needed to know what happened next. Of course I then realized there would be a ton of waiting involved. But now I will finally be able to read what happens next with Alex, Aiden and Seth. Technically this book is already out but B&N still has it up for pre-order so it should be shipping on the 9th. I can't wait to get my hands on this one!!

Summary:

Fate isn’t something to mess with… and now, neither is Alex.

Alex has always feared two things: losing herself in the Awakening and being placed on the Elixir. But love has always been stronger than Fate, and Aiden St. Delphi is willing to make war on the gods—and Alex herself—to bring her back.

The gods have killed thousands and could destroy entire cities in their quest to stop Seth from taking Alex’s power and becoming the all-powerful God Killer. But breaking Alex’s connection to Seth isn’t the only problem. There are a few pesky little loopholes in the whole “an Apollyon can’t be killed” theory, and the only person who might know how to stop the destruction has been dead for centuries.

Finding their way past the barriers that guard the Underworld, searching for one soul among countless millions, and then somehow returning will be hard enough. Alex might be able to keep Seth from becoming the God Killer… or she might become the God Killer herself.(Goodreads)

Apollyon (Covenant #4), Jennifer L. Armentrout. Published April 4(9th) 2013; Spencer Hill Press. Paperback, 360 pages

That's what I'm looking forward to this week. Are there any books you really want to get this week?

"His lips were hungry as they worked against my own. When I gasped with pleasure, he thrust his tongue in my mouth to swirl around mine. The world around me began to spin in a dizzying flurry. I couldn’t get enough of him. My fingers raked through the wet strands of his hair. When I tugged them, a low growl came from the back of his throat." SWOON #YABound

I read a teaser of Shark Bait last week at The Bookish Babe. I really liked the teaser and immediately had to find out more. I'm so glad I did. I loved this book it was cute, funny and it had me wanting more.

Most Anticipated (25)

Rise (Eve, #3)

This week my Most Anticipated Release of the Week is Rise by Anna Carey. I can't wait to find out what happens in the final installment of this trilogy. I devoured Eve and Once and have been waiting a long time to get my hands on this book. I loved the dystopian concept of this trilogy. I really liked the growth of the main character Eve and I can't wait to see how her story ends

Summary:
How far will you go when you have nothing left to lose?

When she lost her soul mate, Caleb, Eve felt like her world had ended. Trapped in the palace, forced to play the part of the happy, patriotic princess of The New America—and the blushing bride of her father's top adviser—Eve's whole life is a lie. The only thing that keeps her going is Caleb's memory, and the revolution he started.

Now, Eve is taking over where Caleb left off. With the help of Moss, an undercover subversive in the King's court, she plots to take down The New America, beginning with the capital, the City of Sand. Will Eve be able to bring about a new, free world when she's called upon to perform the ultimate act of rebellion—killing her father?

In Rise, Eve must choose who to leave behind, who to save, and who to fight as Anna Carey's epic tale of romance and sacrifice in the chilling dystopia of The New America comes to a stunning conclusion.

Walking Disaster (Beautiful #2), Jamie McGuire. Expected Publication: April 2, 2013. Atria Books: Paperback, 448 pgs.
