The ladies at YA Bound have created a hot and fun new meme called SWOON #YABound. If you want to join in here's what you need to do.

All you need to do is pick up the book you are currently reading or just finished reading. Find what made you SWOON. What got your heart pounding and your skin tingling, and your stomach fluttering. Then shout it out on Twitter with the hashtag  #YABound, post in the comments, or grab the awesome button from YA Bound (above) and share it on your blog!

This week I am swooning over Dark Kiss, by Michelle Rowen. I'm really liking this book!

"I pulled him even closer, changing our positions so he was the one against the wall. I had to stand on my tiptoes to keep kissing him, my hands now sliding up into his hair...I'd never experienced anything so satisfying in my life, anything so good, so sweet and intoxicating. I never wanted to stop kissing him." SWOON #YABound

That's what I found this week let me know what you think. If you have a swoon share the link so I can check it out:)

Dark Frost (Mythos Academy, #3)

"I don't remember much of what happened after that. Well, that's not exactly true. I remembered--I would always remember--even if all I wanted to do was forget."

Jennifer Estep, Dark Frost, pg 47

That's my tease for this week. Let me know what you think and if you have a teaser leave a link so I can stop by.

Infrequent Posting

I just wanted to say sorry for not posting very frequently. My laptop decided to stop working and it's my go to computer for doing my bloggy stuff. Hopefully, I'll be able to get it looked at soon but for now I am stuck using the desk top and it's not easy to get my stuff done on that computer. Just wanted to let everyone know why I'm only posting a couple days each week. I may have to try and get some reviews done on my other computer for now. It may be uncomfortable but I will try and power through:)

This week I choose a swoon from Dark Companion, by Maria Acosta.

"His lips were soft and warm and his kiss was firm and eager. His tongue slipped into my mouth and the taste of him was wonderful and sent waves of delight through me. When he took me in his arms, I felt a sense of  rightness. I put my arms around him and kissed him, my whole body arching up to him." SWOON #YABound
Quote taken from ARC may be different in final version

That's I found this week. How about you?

Of Poseidon (Of Poseidon, #1)

"Tripping is bad enough. Tripping into someone is much worse. But if that someone has a body that could make sculpted statues jealous--and thinks you've broken your nose on one of his pecs--well, that's when tripping runs a distant second to humane euthanasia."

Anna Banks, Of Poseidon, pg 5

I really really liked this book. I'm hoping there is another one, I can't wait for more Emma and Galen. That's what I have this week. What about you?

My swoon this week is from The Golden Lily (it was really good!)

"I closed my eyes and melted as my whole body was consumed in that kiss. I was nothing. I was everything. Chills ran over my skin, and fire burned inside me. His body pressed closer to mine, and I wrapped my arms around his neck. His lips were warmer and softer than anything I could have ever imagined, yet fierce and powerful at the same time. Mine responded hungrily, and I tightened my hold on him. His fingers slid down the back of my neck, tracing its shape, and every place they touched was electric." Swoon #YABound

The Golden Lily (Bloodlines, #2)Here's my teaser for this week:

"I looked away, conflicted about the decision before me. What I was contemplating...well, some might argue it wasn't so different than what I'd done before. And yet, it all came down to the fine line between doing something by choice and doing something because I had to. There was no question here. This would be a choice. An exercising of free will."

Richelle Mead, The Golden Lily(ARC), pg 320

Review "The Golden Lily" by Richelle Mead

The Golden Lily (Bloodlines, #2)
The Golden Lily (Bloodlines #2)
Publication Date: June 12, 2012
Publisher: Razorbill
ARC 418
Summary:
The Golden Lily is the second installment in the Bloodlines Series by Richelle Mead. Sydney Sage is still in Palm Springs, California helping to keep Jill Dragomir safe from those out to dethrone the Queen. The more time Sydney spends with Adrian, Jill, Eddie and Angeline the more she questions the beliefs she's held all her life. Sydney finds herself in a new situation when cute, super smart Brayden asks her out and he seems to be her perfect match. Sydney's complicated life gets even more challenging when a new danger arises, one that poses a threat to those around her. What will Sydney have to do in order to make sure those around her stay safe?
Review:
If I had any doubts about Sydney being the lead character in Bloodlines those doubts completely disappeared after reading The Golden Lily. She's complicated, funny, unsure of herself, and really good at her job, in other words she's a great character to get to know. I think the reason I have gotten attached to Sydney as the lead is because she is so complex. She is really book smart but is almost clueless when it comes to social matters. On several occasions she does research on social situations because she knows she's a little awkward, which I thought was so Sydney. She has so many internal issues such as her body, the  Alchemist's, and her attachment to Jill, Eddie, and Adrian that I can't help but wonder how this is all going to play out.
Of course we get more of the rest of the group. Jill has begun to get used to life at Amberwood after her initial issues in Bloodlines. Her new roommate on the other hand is struggling. Angeline comes from a very different world and is trying to adjust to a structured life that she isn't used to. But she does seem to be a good bodyguard. Eddie is as dedicated as ever. He however is still struggling with his feelings for Jill. Then there is Adrian. I have enjoyed reading about him since the Vampire Academy Series. I was so happy that he was going to be a part of this new series. Luckily for me there is plenty of Adrian in The Golden Lily. We get to see him develop as he tries to figure out who he is and what he wants to do with his life. He's still the pain I have come to adore but it seems like he's becoming more responsible.
I have been waiting forever to read more about Sydney, Adrian and the rest of the group. Let's just say I was not disappointed. I like seeing into the mysterious world of the Alchemists. That is one organization I would not want to go against. They are efficient, calculating, and they absolutely believe they are always right. There is also lots of action which includes some Dimitri action. I still miss Rose and Dimitri but I do enjoy Sydney's voice as well mainly because she is so different from Rose but just as entertaining. New obstacles arose that I think will play a role in upcoming books and I'm looking forward to seeing how everything plays out. The ending made me crazy. I couldn't believe the way this one ended. I definitely want to know what happens next.
Cover:
I think the cover is okay but is not one of my favorites. It just doesn't stand out to me. I do like the font of the title and the lilies but the rest is just nice.

My Swoon this week comes from The Vincent Brothers by Abbi Glines.

"When his tongue swept into my mouth, I was the one to groan. He tasted like something dark and dangerous. Cautiously, I touched my tongue to his. Both his hands gripped my waist and picked me up to straddle him before he ran his hands up my back pulling me tighter against his chest. His mouth left mine and I started to protest until he began trailing kisses across my jawline and softly nipped my earlobe before kissing a trail down my neck." Swoon #YABound

Let me just say picking this week was difficult. There were just so many awesome swoon worthy scenes to choose from in this book. If you have a Swoon leave a link so I can check it out.

"How much was I supposed to take before I crumbled? Holding all this in was eating me alive. I needed someone to listen to me. Someone to hold me while I cried. I just needed someone to care about me. Not themselves."
