Review:
As you can see from the stars I was not a big fan of Reckoning. I really liked the previous books in this series but I had several issues with this last installment. First off I thought that Dru's language was a little too forced. It seemed as if she used more of her country terms than in previous books and they just didn't fit to me. Also I didn't feel as though Dru's character developed all that much. In Reckoning she was still looking for someone to follow and I had hoped that by the end of this series she would realize that she was a strong svetocha and didn't need to depend on anyone. Also, I had issues with the love triangle that existed throughout the entire series. There was no real resolution of the triangle and I felt slightly cheated that I didn't get to jump up and down at Dru's choice or sit back and sigh. Finally, there were many questions left unanswered. The ending felt incomplete and this novel brought up more questions than it answered.

Of course I didn't hate this book I just wished that it had ended differently than it did. Some of the things that I did like were Christophe as always, he is one of my favorite characters. I love that he is so protective to the point that is a little crazy. This book was full of action which is always a plus. All and all it was just okay.

Cover:
I liked the first cover in this series but the rest have not among my favorites. This cover looks a little too forced as if they are trying to project that Dru is a tough girl. Plus the highlights look weird.

  1. Sorry to hear that this book didn't quite meet your expectations! I've never heard of this series before and, well, I guess there must have been a reason for that :)
