Review:
Glow is the first book in the Sky Chaser's Series. We learn about the story from the two main characters Kieran and Waverly. Each character tells about their experiences in different chapters of the book. I liked the story instantly but I did have some problems with it. The things I liked about Glow were the way that the story was told by both Kieran and Waverly I was able to see what was happening from two different people's perspectives. I also really enjoyed the world that Amy Kathleen Ryan created on the Empyrean. The story was action packed and it left me wondering what was going to happen next. Once I started reading I didn't want to put it down. There were twists and turns with both characters. Kieran and Waverly both dealt with tumultuous events which enabled them to grow as characters. I was able to learn more about each character as they tried to deal with the difficulties they encountered which is a huge plus. Sometimes you are left wondering why a character exists which luckily is not the case in Glow. Don't think that because this book takes place in space that it is a way out there sci-fi. It's mostly about how the people of the Empyrean deal with an attack they never saw coming. The consequences of the attack and the changes that occur following the attack.

One of the things that I really didn't care for in Glow was how I didn't get the back story of what happened to Earth. There was some moments when bits and pieces were explained but there was never a clear cut explanation as to what happened. Also though I generally love action I thought things developed too quickly. I wouldn't have minded if the story was drawn out a little more. But overall I really enjoyed Glow and
I'm interested to see what happens next.

Cover:
I like the cover of Glow but it isn't one of my favorites. I wish it had more elements of outer space. Though I do like the ring of light around the O and how the girl seems to be upset which would make sense after reading Glow.

  1. That sounds pretty good! Let me know if the second one is worth the read.
