Review:
Shiver is the first book in The Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy. The story revolves around two main characters Grace a human and Sam a sometimes wolf. This first book delves into the complexities of a relationship between a human and a wolf. When Grace a dependable teenage girl starts to fall in love with Sam she starts to realize that without Sam her responsible life doesn't compare. She needs Sam in order to fill whole. I had a difficult time getting into this book, but once I got into it I found it a lot easier to read. Both characters have a way of pulling you in and making you want to root for them. Grace is a normal girl with a slight obsession with the wolves in her backyard. Sam is a boy who wants what he doesn't think he can have, a normal life with Grace. Each character has their own complicated background that they are still trying to come to terms with. I found myself hoping that these two would find a way to make their relationship work. After I finished this book I couldn't wait for the next book, Linger, I had to find out what was going on with these characters. I also enjoyed how the characters were slowly developed and I got to know the characters bit by bit.
Cover:
The cover for Shiver is very simple but still draws the reader in. It is charming and exquisite in its simplicity. Plus the text inside matches the color of the cover which is totally original and a huge bonus.

  2. I'm also a fan of writers that do something to set them apart from other books like this one did :)

I too love how these books are different because of their font color.
